One of the most profound things I learned in elementary/middle school was that the ginkgo tree loses the majority of its leaves in one day. And for the ginkgo trees on my street, today seems to be that day. Walking to the coffee shop this morning, yellow leaves fell in huge waves over me. So many that the trees may very well be bare in a matter of hours.
I'm sure there are a hundred metaphors that could be used for but rather than throw life lessons at you, I'm just going to share this beautiful science lesson and let you draw from your own well if you so choose.
